The Forest of Dean Greenways ProjectProject management for the creation of a 55 mile long network of multi-user routes for horse riders, cyclists and walkers through the Forest of Dean.

Client: The Forest of Dean Horse Riders and Carriage Drivers’ Association

Timing: 2011 to 2013

Activities:

  • Production of a (successful) Feasibility Study to test the project concept
  • Managing the construction of the approved Greenways Project, financed by the awarded grants totalling £90,750
  • Liaison with the Forestry Commission and private landowners to acquire access rights and plan the routes
  • Launch of the Greenways network and its accreditation by the British Horse Society.

 


 

Tren Crucero (Ecuador)

 

Tren CruceroCampaign management for the UK launch of Tren Crucero – a four day heritage train journey from Quito in the high Andes to Guayaquil on the Pacific seaboard.

Client: Ferrocarriles del Ecuador

Timing: December 2012 ongoing

  • Travel trade and consumer exhibitions
  • Trade and consumer magazine adverts
  • Sales calls to UK tour operators specialising in Ecuador or luxury train journeys
  • Successful product launch capped when Tren Crucero won the British Guild of Travel Writers Wider World Project award
